New Cast critique

          I think that our newest news cast was by far our best one especially because it got aired.  We fixed a lot of our mistakes from the last news cast which helped a lot.  The communication was much better everyone knew what their role was and nobody screwed up because of bad communication.  We also did a good job of continuing after someone would mess up a little.  For example if someone was reading and they made a mistake they didn’t stop they kept going which made it look more professional and good for the person reading.  A couple things we could work on for the next news cast could be making sure we only talk when were supposed to and the camera angles.  One time when one person finished their role in the news they started talking and since they had their mic on it picked it up and people could hear it when they were watching the news cast.  So therefore we should make sure we only talk after the news cast is over.  The other problem is camera angles we have to make sure that the cameras have good shot of the person reading so we don’t see the person sitting next time at all.  One time someone’s elbows were in the shot when we were filming so we should try to avoid that.  Overall this was a very good newscast and probably our best one yet.

          I think that our TV production class can improve on some things while doing the news.  A couple things that we can improve as a class are: more communication, better camera work, better transitions, maybe even better articles and we could approach the weather differently.  These are all ways we could improve our news cast.  We needed to have better communication last news cast because there was a couple times when someone would be reading and they would not be looking at the right camera and when we told them to look at the other one while they were reading they got confused and stopped.  That threw off the entire news cast.  We could work on camera work because they were a couple times when someone’s elbow would be showing while we would be filming someone else.  Transitions could be better, for example when we are done filming the weather sometimes Abby fades out when we already started to film the news again.  We could also do more interesting articles some of the articles now are bland and boring.  And last the weather could be different cause now it is awkward and dull so we could make it more fun.  Overall I thought this was an ok news cast we still have to work on a couple of things to make it better.

Movie review for The Dark Knight

The Dark Knight Movie review

Batman the Dark Knight directed by Christopher Nolan is one of the best films of all time.  This movie is ranked fourth out of the top 50 movies of all time on IMDb.  The Dark Knight is an action packed film filled with suspense and surprises you will never see coming.  One of the best parts of this film is Heath Ledgers performance, despite dying shortly after he played the role of the joker.  He played a key part in the movie, his acting was spot on and especially his voice and the laugh.  His character: The joker is a mean cruel man that doesn't care about anything not even himself he is very destructive and causes chaos all over the city of Gotham.  Heath Ledger was not the only person that played a fantastic part in the movie, Christian Bale played a great role as the main character Batman.  In the movie Batman is a billionaire named Bruce Wayne who is well known in the city of Gotham.  Although what people of Gotham don’t know about him is that he is also the batman.  Christian Bale plays Batman very well in this film, the way that he disguises his voice so no one will know that he is actually Bruce Wayne is very cool.  He has a really deep voice as batman and it almost sounds like he as throat cancer.  Another thing he does well is his intimidation factor.  All of the villains and mob dealers are intimidated by him because of his strength, suit and fighting skills.  The only one in the movie who is not scared of him is the joker of course because he is not afraid of anything in the movie which makes the joker cooler than ever.  Through the course of the movie one thing that everyone loves are the classic fight scenes between the Batman and the Joker.  These scenes are action packed and intense and will leave your heart pounding through the course of the movie.  Another key character in this movie that plays an important and great role in this movie is Aaron Eckhart who plays Harvey Dent.  Harvey dent is one of Bruce Wayne’s good friends in this movie, but the Joker is after him because he knows Batman is familiar with him.  That’s all I’m going to say because I won’t spoil it for you.  One thing Christopher Nolan does well in this movie is the special effects.  The special effects are incredible and really neat.  There are many explosion scenes that are just amazing and you ask yourself how they did that.  The stunts are also very cool, Batman does many of them and they are neat and look great.  Overall this is a great movie and it will leave you at the edge of your seat and your heart pounding all throughout the movie.  I would give this movie a solid 10 out of 10 if I had to give it a grade.
